FROM FLOOR ASSISTANT…
Multi-talented Lara Greenway started working as a floor assistant at the BBC over 20 years ago and has worked in front of and behind the camera in both film and TV ever since.
Lara’s raison d’etre is to create, develop and produce unusual but commercially viable projects for all platforms. Her approach is to nurture and work closely with with new (and not so new) clients, her niche being to turn the ‘obvious’ on its head, giving it a sharp yet polished edge along the way. Combine that with Lara’s passion for developing ground breaking concepts and seeing them come alive on screen, both big and small, and you have the winning formula which makes the work she does extra special.
Lara’s recent history includes production work includes “HARD BOILED SWEETS”, after which she moved straight on to “DEVIATION”, a dark, psychological thriller feature, starring Danny Dyer and Anna Walton.
…TO FILM PRODUCER
Lara followed that up directing and producing the pilot for a comedy web series, “HOW TO BE DEAD”, written by award winning writer, David Turner, and at the end of 2014 she produced Wesley Chambers’ short film, “LIGATURES”. In early 2015, Lara worked as Associate Producer on “RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER II”, starring Luke Mably, Steven Berkoff & Ricci Harnett.
Lara was shortlisted for UK Film Council/Screen East’s Digital Shorts Scheme in 2009, and then went on to write, direct and produce three short films, “HOSTILE”, “RUNNER” and “THREE”.
Lara has acted, narrated, presented, produced, directed and written on a multitude of projects. Consider video games, web projects, factual television, large scale drama and feature films and you can see where the ‘multi-talented’ comes from!
Now Lara works in the main as a Producer or Director and/or Writer for web, television and the silver screen. Whatever your Media, you’ll be glad to have Lara on your team…we certainly are.
